Bord Pleanala backs rejection by council of Chief O’Neills extension

Businessman Lar Byrne has been denied planning permission for an extension to Chief O’Neills hotel in Smithfield in Dublin 7, which he bought earlier this year from property developer Terry Devey for just under €20 million.

Businessman Lar Byrne has been denied planning permission for an extension to Chief O’Neills hotel in Smithfield in Dublin 7, which he bought earlier this year from property developer Terry Devey for just under €20 million.

The scheme was originally turned down by Dublin City Council and An Bord Pleanala has upheld the council’s decision.
