Bord na Mona set to pay €55m for waste company

Bord na Mona is on the verge of paying €55 million for Advanced Environmental Solutions (AES), a private waste-management company.

The semi-state company is expected to submit the acquisition proposal to the Department of Finance for its approval, and the department is expected to give the go-ahead for the deal. A spokesman for Bord na Mona said the company had no comment to make on the matter.
