‘Booze buses’ prove popular

There were more than 1,300 passenger journeys during October on buses run by the evening transport service - the so-called ‘booze buses’ - introduced by the government.

There were more than 1,300 passenger journeys during October on buses run by the evening transport service - the so-called ‘booze buses’ - introduced by the government.

A total of 154 services completed 1,341 passenger journeys in seven groups running pilot schemes.

There are two groups in Cork and one each in counties Cavan, Sligo, Roscommon, Donegal and Laois.
