Bonuses thin on the ground for marketers

One-third of Irish marketing departments did not pay bonuses last year, according to the latest edition of Alternatives Marketing Watch. If bonuses were paid, they were lower than before in 28 per cent of cases.

One-third of Irish marketing departments did not pay bonuses last year, according to the latest edition of Alternatives Marketing Watch. If bonuses were paid, they were lower than before in 28 per cent of cases. Meanwhile, most marketing departments said new hires were coming in on lower salaries, while 34 per cent of respondents said existing salaries had fallen, and 54 per cent said they had stayed the same.
