Bond author’s Colt for sale

A Colt Python .357 Magnum revolver, presented by the Colt Company to James Bond author Ian Fleming in 1964, will be one of the highlights of Bonham’s sale of fine modern sporting guns and vintage firearms on March 28.

Fleming’s life was as colourful as that of his now world famous creation. Born to a wealthy well-connected family and educated at Eton and Sandhurst, he worked as a journalist with Reuters and later in banking.
