BoI pension-scheme liabilities could rise to €13bn

The liabilities in Bank of Ireland’s (BoI) pension scheme would rise from €4.9 billion today to €13 billion by 2054 if the scheme remained open, the bank told the Labour Court this weekend.

The liabilities in Bank of Ireland’s (BoI) pension scheme would rise from €4.9 billion today to €13 billion by 2054 if the scheme remained open, the bank told the Labour Court this weekend.

About 500 BoI staff picketed the bank’s headquarters last month to protest against the closure of the scheme.
