The Carlton cinema site saga has taken a new twist after An Bord Pleanála notified those with an interest in the site that it intends to apply to the Supreme Court to vary the judgment on the compulsory purchase order (CPO) that was delivered earlier this year.

The court decided that the CPO order on the site made by Dublin City Council and approved by An Bord Pleanála should be approved.
