BMW i3 genuinely is the future, now

No electric car sold in Ireland has ever looked as attractive as the new BMW i3, writes Shane O'Donoghue.

There's so much more to the new BMW i3 than its cutting edge design.

Electric cars have been on the fringes of mainstream motoring for seemingly an age. Nissan should be commended for its efforts to change that with its relatively successful Leaf model, while Renault hopes to time its introduction of the Clio-sized Zoe electric car well later this year. But no electric car sold in Ireland until now comes close to the desirability of the BMW i3.
