The Blackrock Clinic, which celebrates its 25th anniversary today, enjoyed an occupancy rate of 88 per cent in March.

The founders of the hospital - the first private independent hospital in the country - said that, while the economic environment had made business more challenging, there was still huge demand for treatment in the private sector.
