Bilcon Construction owes €1.5m to Revenue

Bilcon Construction, the Galway firm which went into voluntary liquidation with the loss of 160 jobs, owes €1.5 million to the Revenue Commissioners.

Bilcon Construction, the Galway firm which went into voluntary liquidation with the loss of 160 jobs, owes €1.5 million to the Revenue Commissioners.

According to an affidavit lodged with the High Court, the tax debt dates back to last year.

When applying to the court for liquidation, Bilcon director William Conway said that installment agreements were entered into with the Revenue, but the company was unable to meet the targets.
