British private equity giant Better Capital and the Belfast based Lagan Group have expressed an interest in buying Siac, the troubled Irish construction giant that is in bankruptcy protection.

Better Capital, headed by financier Jon Moulton, has been running the rule over Siac in recent weeks through its new Dublin office, and is expected to table a bid for the Irish construction firm in the coming days.
