The Taoiseach, Tanaiste and cabinet members have received 22 pay increases since they took office in 1997, according to figures supplied by the Department of Finance.

The Taoiseach, Tanaiste and cabinet members have received 22 pay increases since they took office in 1997, according to figures supplied by the Department of Finance. The 22 increases comprise routine awards under the national wage agreements, benchmarking and special awards for higher level public officials, including last week's recommendation of a 7.5 per cent increase.
