A better quality of life in Ireland lured mother and daughter Maureen and Linda Mullan away from careers in New York to set up the Oceana Spa and Oceana Clinic in the Portmarnock Hotel and in Malahide in north Co Dublin.
Maureen Mullan treated celebrity clients as a beauty therapist with her own practice, while Linda worked as former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s press secretary until shortly after the September 11 attacks in 2001.
