The BBC has taken a step toward building up its Irish online advertising business.

Adforce.ie, the online advertising network, has been given an exclusive advertising sales contract for BBC.com in Ireland. The contract covers sales across BBC.com and the BBC.com mobile site.

The BBC sites are used by 1.5 million unique users in Ireland (while RTE’s website has four million users, both home and overseas). Irish usage generates more than 23...
