The 1,700 Waterford employees of Bausch & Lomb were cheered by news last week that third-quarter profits at the eyecare firm grew by nearly 32 per cent.
The news reflects particularly well on the company's operations in Waterford as the 7.3 per cent growth in quarterly revenues was led by the company's contact lens and pharmaceutical divisions, where sales grew in the quarter by 10 per cent and 12 per cent.
