Budgetary constraints mean that the Gardaí will have to curb capital spending, recruitment and overtime in the coming months

If last week was anything to go by, gardaí face an increased threat of organised gangland activity this year. Two murders were committed on opposite sides of Dublin, bringing the number of gangland assassinations to four in the first month of the new year.
