Barrington company part of $165m aircraft leasing deal

Onex Corporation is to acquire a 50 per cent interest in BBAM, the world’s third largest manager of commercial jet aircraft, for $165 million.

Onex Corporation is to acquire a 50 per cent interest in BBAM, the world’s third largest manager of commercial jet aircraft, for $165 million.

BBAM is partially owned by Dublin-based FLY Leasing, which is run by Aer Lingus chairman Colm Barrington. Onex will acquire a 35 per cent interest in BBAM from BBAM’s management team and a 15 per cent interest in BBAM from FLY, which is a leading global lessor of commercial jet aircraft...
