The dispute between the developers of co-located private hospitals and the Health Service Executive (HSE) has intensified due to the structure of project agreements.

Disagreements have emerged over the terms on which the banks will fund the building of some of the six private hospitals due to be co-located in the grounds of public hospitals. The banks claim they are being asked to assume too much risk in funding the projects.
