Bank of Ireland is poised to back developer Sean Dunne’s €200 million purchase of 3.25 acres in Ballsbridge from AIB.
The high profile developer teamed up with Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank last year to fund the €380 million purchase of seven acres from Jurys Doyle Hotel Group in Ballsbridge.
However, Dunne is in talks with Bank of Ireland for funding to purchase part of the headquarters of its great rival AIB.
