Bank of Ireland chief executive Richie Boucher said the bank had offered “sustainable” loan restructure solutions in the second quarter to 27 per cent of owner-occupier mortgage borrowers in default at the end of March.
Boucher told the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform that the bank was in “legal process” with a further 26 per cent of its 11,774 end of March arrears cases.
