Bank of Ireland falls almost 5% as Wilbur Ross to sell stake

UPDATE: Shares in Bank of Ireland fell as much as 4.9 per cent in early trading after US billionaire Wilbur Ross said he was selling his remaining 5.5 per cent stake in Bank of Ireland.

Shares in Bank of Ireland fell as much as 4.9 per cent in early trading after US billionaire Wilbur Ross said he was selling his remaining 5.5 per cent stake in Bank of Ireland.

By midday, the share price had recovered somewhat and was down 2.8 per cent but the sale was seen by a surprise as the indications had been that after selling a substantial stake in March, Ross and co-investor Prem Watsa would not sell...
