Bank of Ireland approve €2.1bn in SME credit during H1

Bank of Ireland granted credit approvals of about €2.1 billion to SMEs during the first half of 2014, up 7 per cent on the same period last year, the bank said today.

Bank of Ireland granted credit approvals of about €2.1 billion to SMEs during the first half of 2014, up 7 per cent on the same period last year.

The €2.1 billion figure includes new and increased lending and does not include restructures, the bank's statement said.

The bank said it had approved more than 85 per cent of credit applications from SMEs in the year to the end of June.
