Ballynahinch Castle Hotel in Connemara has invested €1.5 million in a 14-month refurbishment project, including the installation of new carbon neutral technology aimed at cutting cost s and boosting environmental efficiencies.

Ballynahinch Castle Hotel in Connemara has invested €1.5 million in a 14-month refurbishment project, including the installation of new carbon neutral technology aimed at cutting cost s and boosting environmental efficiencies.

Ballynahinch general manager Patrick O’Flaherty said that investment totalling €210,000 in solar panels and bio-mass boilers had made the forty-bedroom hotel in Recess, outside Clifden, carbon neutral in the provision of hot water and heating.
