Small and medium businesses which fall behind with their energy bills will find it harder to switch supplier and obtain cheaper prices, as strict new rules come into effect tomorrow.

Small and medium businesses which fall behind with their energy bills will find it harder to switch supplier and obtain cheaper prices, as strict new rules come into effect tomorrow.

The new rules from the energy regulator mean that small business customers could be prevented from switching to a new energy supplier if they have arrears of more than €600 on their energy bill.
