As hordes of our diaspora 'Gather' themselves on our shores this year, there is more than the usual amount of interest in our main historic sites.

Our American brethren in particular are interested in the places associated with the 1916 rebellion, with a visit to O'Connell Street a must on any itinerary.

It has long been commented how inadequate the remembrance of that event is within the GPO - something which is unlikely to be rectified...
