Back to School: New curriculum nurtures ICT skills

A new computing curriculum and additions to the ECDL programme mean that more pupils than ever will have the opportunity to hone their ICT skills, writes Post Reporter.

Around 50 Irish second level schools will start the new term with a strong curriculum of ICT courses thanks to the work of the Irish Computer Society (ICS). Committed to fostering computer skills in the classroom, the ICS is expanding a pilot programme it launched last year, honing its relevance ahead of the 2014 launch of the new Junior Cycle Programme.
