Back to School: New App delivers the message

Texts are now a popular method of communication between schools and parents, prompting one Irish firm to develop a dedicated app, writes Post Reporter.

A new app will be launched this autumn that will significantly reduce the cost of texting services that schools used to send alerts to parents and pupils. Launched by iFlow, a Wicklow-based tech firm whose core business is providing small firms with similar services, the app is a natural next step for a sector that's been growing steadily, according to managing director Dermot O'Sullivan.

The app is being developed for Apple, Android and Windows Phone....
