Aylward receives French honour for leadership on EU food issues

Fianna Fáil MEP Liam Aylward has been named on the French honours list for 2008 for his efforts to promote the EU’s agriculture and food industry.

Fianna Fáil MEP Liam Aylward has been named on the French honours list for 2008 for his efforts to promote the EU’s agriculture and food industry.

Aylward will receive the accolade of Commandeur du Merite Agricole from the French agriculture minister, Michel Barnier, at a ceremony in Paris on December 4.

It will be attended by Irish farm leaders, key French importers of Irish foods and members of the government.
