Australia tops OECD's Better Life Index

Australia: at top of Better Life Index

Australia is the world’s happiest nation based on criteria including income, jobs, housing and health, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development said in a new report.

Australia led Sweden and Canada, the OECD’s Better Life Index showed, when each of 11 categories surveyed in 36 nations was given equal weight.

Ireland ranked 15th, five places behind the UK.
