Economist Joseph Stiglitz told 5,000 international lawyers at the RDS last night that democracy was in jeopardy in Europe unless the financial crisis was tackled.
Stiglitz, a Nobel laureate in economics, was the guest speaker at the start of the week-long International Bar Association conference, the largest-ever meeting of international lawyers anywhere in the world.
