Audi has reported an 11.7 per cent increase in its March-January sales this year — making the first three months of 2014 the German automaker’s best first quarter ever.

The company made 412,000 deliveries between January and March — up from 369,000 in the same period last year.

The company has generated revenue of €12.9 billion in the first quarter (a 10.4 per cent increase on last year) with an operating profit of €1.3 billion.
