Auction results: Scott first among equals at De Veres

A silver wine cistern weighing more than 70kg achieved £112,500 at Sotheby’s

On May 21, at De Veres’ design auction, William Scott took top honours, his Still Life with 8 Forms selling to a private Dublin collector for €195,000 (€200,000-€300,000). Patrick Scott’s gold paintings did well, his Sketch for St Pauls making €9,000, Chinese Landscape and Untitled each making €8,000, all three with an estimate of €8,000-€12,000, and Untitled, an acrylic work, fetching €4,000 (€3,000-€5,000).
