Attempt to block auctioneer’s licence fails
Barrister sought to object to licence following judgment to pay auctioneer €350,000, writes Kieron Wood
A senior barrister who was ordered to pay an auctioneer more than €350,000 in fees for selling three properties later tried to block the renewal of the auctioneer’s licence.
Last May, the High Court ordered senior counsel Brendan Kilty, 52, of Castle Park Road, Sandycove, Dublin, to pay €356,387 plus costs to Tadhg Campion of Campion Property Consultants after Campion auctioned Kilty’s properties in Sandycove, Dublin.
