Teachers who give grinds classes are being targeted by an investigation by the Revenue Commissioners into the ‘shadow economy’.
Principals in a number of Dublin schools last week received letters from Revenue asking them to remind staff that any additional income they receive from giving grinds or other outside work should be declared for tax purposes.
A Revenue spokesman confirmed that the move was part of a wider investigation into the shadow economy....
