Asian slump overhangs EU shares

European share markets will wake up today to news that Asian shares have slumped close to one-year lows overnight after the US Federal Reserve warned of significant risks to the economic outlook.

European share markets will wake up today to news that Asian shares have slumped close to one-year lows overnight after the US Federal Reserve warned of significant risks to the economic outlook.

The MCSI ASia Pacific Index slumped 3.5 per cent to 113.77.

Yesterday, the ISEQ index of Irish shares lost close to two per cent of its value to close down 48.39 points at 2444.52.
