In the latest clampdown on airline advertising, Aer Lingus was among the advertisers that fell foul of the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland (ASAI)'s industry codes, according to the latest complaints bulletin.
Aer Lingus had sent out an e-mail ad that quoted air fares excluding taxes and charges, in contravention of the ASAI's rules. The airline argued that the e-mail fell outside the ASAI's jurisdiction.
The ASAI disagreed and upheld the complaint.
