Arts: FRINGE FESTIVAL

Even the catalogues were conspicuous; hot pink brochures twice the size of a handbag, stuffed with details of more than 120 plays, exhibitions and live art-interventions.

You couldn’t avoid this year’s Dublin Fringe Festival if you wanted to and, judging by the volume of tickets sold for the Fringe’s diverse events over the last two weeks, Dubliners and visitors alike were participating, rather than avoiding the festival frenzy.
