The Arts Council has been asked to give its views on the controversial proposed redevelopment of St Colman's Cathedral in Cobh, Co Cork.

The Arts Council has been asked to give its views on the controversial proposed redevelopment of St Colman's Cathedral in Cobh, Co Cork.

The planning board asked the Arts Council for its views under a section of the Planning and Development Act 2000 which permits the board to ask any group for its submissions or observations “in the interests of justice'‘.
