Nudity: are we comfortable with that in commercial, mainstream films just yet? Not so the Oscar-voting behemoths, it appears, who spurned the actor Michael Fassbender earlier in the week, when the nominations for Best Actor were announced. Incredibly, the Irish/German actor did not make the list for his blistering performance in Shame, Steve McQueen's remarkable film about sex addiction. Shame? Shame on the Academy for not including him.
