Art of the state in Brussels

An exhibition of modern Irish art in Brussels reflects the state of the nation past and present, writes Ros Drinkwater.

Of the more than 400 Irish cultural events now taking part across Europe to mark the country's presidency of the EU, the major art exhibition is Changing States: Contemporary Irish Art and the Francis Bacon Studio, a collaboration between Culture Ireland, the Dublin City Gallery the Hugh Lane, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels.
