Dublin city-centre department store Arnotts expects a bounce in sales this year after a drop of almost 4 per cent in turnover to €144.2 million last year.

Richard Nesbitt, chairman of Arnotts, said the company’s sales were ahead this year, but its overheads were also higher because it was investing heavily in the business.
