Ardmore lands second Tudors series

Ardmore Studios, Ireland’s largest film studio, is poised to land the lucrative contract to film the second series of The Tudors, the €29 million US television drama starring Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Showtime, the US entertainment giant that produces the show, has held talks with a number of studios across Europe but is set to award the contract to the Irish studio, which is based in Bray, Co Wicklow.
