The pace of momentum in the Irish manufacturing sector’s recovery weakened in April as production fell for the first time in three months, the latest NCB Purchasing Managers Index has shown.
The index posted only fractionally above the 50.0 no-change mark at 50.1 in April, down from a reading of 51.5 in March.
This indicated that operating conditions in the sector were broadly unchanged during the month.
