Application is made to wind up publisher

The High Court will tomorrow hear an application to wind up Limerick Independent Newspapers, writes Kieron Wood.

The application is being brought by printers Webprint Concepts of Mahon, Cork, which is understood to be owed in the region of €80,000.

Limerick Independent Newspapers publishes a free weekly newspaper which it claims has the largest door-to door distribution in Limerick city and county, being delivered to 25,000 homes a week.

The latest accounts for the company, for the year to June 30, 2009, show current liabilities of €463,616 - three times the previous year’s...
