The queue began forming outside Apple’s flagship store in Manhattan one week ago to order a product that has not even been announced yet.

“We wanted to beat the record, which had been 18 days,” Brian Ceballo told financial network CNBC last week. Ceballo and his friend Joseph Cruz had been the first in line but ceded their place to a couple, Jason and Moon Ray, who paid them $2,500 for the privilege.
