Anglo trial: Helping the gardai with their enquiries

The Anglo trial heard, in detail, interviews the three accused former Anglo executives gave in garda stations around Dublin. Philip Connolly and Siobhan Brett report.

Until last week, the Anglo trial had busied itself with the end of 2007 and the first half of 2008. The bulk of the evidence adduced last week, however, was of a different and very specific time.

Three years on past the events at the heart of this court case, in 2010 and 2011, the three accused - Sean FitzPatrick, Willie McAteer and Pat Whelan - were interviewed by gardaí in locations around Dublin.
