Anglo Irish Bank executives attached special conditions to loans involving a Sean Quinn vehicle to ease internal concerns over whether the loans breached company law.

Documents seen by this newspaper reveal that loan agreements with Quinn Finance Holding, an unlimited company, contained special provisions to exclude certain obligations or liabilities if they would have the effect of contravening laws governing the provision of so-called ‘financial assistance’.
