Andor/Photonic deal is picture perfect

Andor Technologies, a Belfast based developer of digital laboratory cameras, has acquired the trade and assets of US firm Photonic. The deal comprises a cash payment of $5 million (€3.7 million) and 156,627 Andor shares at 2p each.

Andor Technologies, a Belfast based developer of digital laboratory cameras, has acquired the trade and assets of US firm Photonic. The deal comprises a cash payment of $5 million (€3.7 million) and 156,627 Andor shares at 2p each.

It follows Andor’s recent acquisition of Bitplane, a Swiss company specialising in three and four-dimensional image analysis software. Photonic makes laser and lamp-based illumination and ablation systems from two bases in the US.
