An Audi estate for all roads

The A6 allroad quattro is essentially a beefed-up version of the Audi A6 Avant - and none the worse for it, writes Shane O'Donoghue.

The Audi A6 all-road quattro.

From the driver's seat of the new A6 allroad quattro it takes a few minutes to work out what's different to the regular Audi A6 Avant estate.

There's a little 'allroad' logo on the rev counter and a few colour and trim options bespoke to this model, but little else. A hill descent button sits innocuously on the dashboard and within the MMI infotainment system are tilt and angle meters.
