Amnesty to appeal €10,000 award

Amnesty International may appeal a decision by the Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT) to award €10,000 compensation to a senior staff member who was unfairly selected for redundancy.

Amnesty International may appeal a decision by the Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT) to award €10,000 compensation to a senior staff member who was unfairly selected for redundancy.

Lino Olivieri of Booterstown, Co Dublin, was made redundant in February 2009 after almost ten years working for Amnesty International, initially as a volunteer and subsequently as trading manager.
